Dr Marc van der Schee

Biography

Dr. Marc van der Schee has extensive experience in biomarker research in both academic and commercial settings. After his medical and biomedical sciences degrees he performed some pioneering research into analysis of volatile biomarkers for disease diagnosis. He’s been involved in designing, running and publishing tens of studies in the breath analysis field including many Owlstone Medical studies. He’s been a member of task forces to help standardize the methodology for breath analysis internationally within the IABR and the European Respiratory Society.

During his 6 years at Owlstone he spearheaded building a clinical trial pipeline and helped pioneer Owlstone’s EVOC^® Probes approach to breath analysis. Marc’s involvement in our SAB will help support the successfull execution of our scientific and clinical research.
