Dr. Huw Davies

Biography

Dr Huw Davies has over 30 years experience working with novel technologies that enable the diagnosis and treatment of major human diseases.  In his current role, Huw leads a global commercial team responsible for growing Owlstone Medical’s Breath Biopsy^® collaborations and service business with leading pharmaceutical companies and academic partners to identify and deploy novel non-invasive breath biomarkers for precision medicine and disease diagnosis.

Prior to joining Owlstone, Huw was a Director of Business Development for Abcam Plc, the leading UK based antibody company where he was responsible for the negotiation and execution of licensing and supply agreements for Abcam’s portfolio of research and diagnostic products and technologies.  Prior to joining Abcam, he worked in various business development, management and scientific roles for start-up companies with novel biomarker technologies in the field of proteomics and metabolomics.  Huw has a PhD from the John Innes Centre in Norwich and a first degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Leicester.
