Next Gen breath analysis on demand

The webinar will delve into recent advancements in human breath sample collection and analysis, spotlighting Owlstone Medical’s Breath Biopsy® OMNI® platform, which offers targeted and untargeted analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for biomarker discovery.

Exhaled breath is a waste product produced by the body that is a rich source of potential biomarkers for a variety of uses in clinical practice and research. There are hundreds of VOCs in breath, many of which have links to metabolism and disease processes, and therefore have the potential to be developed as biomarkers.

Breath Biopsy OMNI is the most advanced solution for volatile metabolite analysis in breath. It is an optimized service for breath collection and analysis to produce reproducible identification and quantification of biorelevant metabolites that can be used for biomarker development.

Additionally, advancements in the development of our Breath Biopsy VOC Atlas® will be presented, featuring a searchable database of VOCs identified with high confidence, alongside quantitative measurements from previous human studies, facilitating in silico cross-validation of results and accelerating biomarker development. This resource also provides links to peer-reviewed literature for individual VOCs, aiding in the further elucidation of the relationship between VOCs, biology, and human disease.

In upcoming months, we will be making specific VOC Atlas data and functions available, through our new partnerships with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the FDA to facilitate biomarker discovery. You can find out more at the Atlas here or sign up to receive access here.
